TESTING
Getting tested for STDs, including HIV is easy and often free. InSPOT is a tool that can help you locate testing centers in certain states
and cities. If you’ve been diagnosed with an STD or HIV, you
can also use InSPOT to notify your sex
partners of a possible exposure.
If your location isn’t on the inSPOT list, contact your local health
department, community clinic, private doctor or Planned Parenthood, these
are all good locations to check out for STD testing. ASHA's National
STI Resource Center Hotline can look up free or low cost clinics in your
area that do STD testing. You can call them at 1 (800) 227-8922 weekdays
from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, or seven days a week, 24 hours a day, to listen
to recorded information. |
